Eurovision

It is not often that I look at a reality tv programme with excitement, but when it comes to Eurovision that is exactly what happens.

Eurovision is obviously full of political voting and the best song does not always win, but that doesn't mean you can't still make a few quid!

So after watching the semi's and reading about people's views I have come up with a few tempting wagers.

Azerbaijan to win ~@3.7 - this is an amazing song, and has all the features of a winning eurovision song. Azerbaijan have only been in the eurovision for 2 years and have got 2 top ten finishes (8th and 3rd) and this is their best entry yet. Sexy, colourful and a decent song. Add to that the face that a lot of the neighbouring countries will give the tactical vote to her too it looks pretty close to a certainty. 10 POINTS

Armenia to win @8.0 - Another great song, it looks like that side of the world are stepping up the game. They have thrown in an ex beauty queen who is still beauitful and she has a great chance to push Azerbaijan far. This is worth a dabble, so 6 points on the win.

Denmark top 10 @1.64 - with their friends pretty much out (sweden and finland - norway are still in as hosts) Denmark will pick up the friendly votes , norway is poor this year! Due to this and a decent song I fancy 10 points on a top 10 finish.

Belgium top 10 @2.36 - So overpriced, this guy can really sing, it's a chilled summer song very much like jason Mraz with a walking in memphis riff thrown in too. Not colourful and active enough to win but it should get into the top 10 - 6 points.

France top 10 @8.4 - Ok so france haven't really tried this year, and have thrown in their world cup anthem, but remember the world cup is very close and this party anthem could well get a lot of people up on their feet dancing around, so I reckon it could sneak into the top 10, worth a cheeky 2 points.

We're having a eurovision party, not as lame as it sounds, it involves drinking - a lot of it. The rules are simple - countries are randomly assigned (hat draw) and you drink 1/2 a finger of your drink for every point awarded - guaranteed to get messy if you get any of my first 3 countries mentioned! (On a note germany's song has been huge in central europe, but I'm really reserved it will either do amazing, or struggle to get into the top 10 coming in at 11, really not sure about it but I will neither back and lay.)

Formula 1 - red bull will continue to dominate, secure the front row of the grid with webber once again on pole, and taking the race down. Worth noting 4/5 years pole sitter has won this race, only one driver failed to by a poor start and the overtaker went on to win. So my advice back webber pole/win double, and if webber does not get pole lump on the pole sitter to win (will be vettel).

Thanks and gl!
