Bidibot (http://www.bidibot.com/)

Hey,

So look it has been an age since I have blogged, and what with being in America there is so much I have to say and believe me I have most of it written down, just I haven't had time to get it up on here. Give me this week and there will be two amazing posts (well maybe not amazing but informative.)

Anyway this post is more as an opportunity to let you all know about this pretty cool new site. John Tabatabai (a long time friend and mentor of mine) has launched a penny auction site specifically for poker credit. Now I know what you all think - penny auctions are a con/rip off but as it happens this site is pretty well kept secret and items sell for cheap. It's called bidibot - http://www.bidibot.com/

Penny auctions are simple - you buy bids usually at $1 a bid, and use them to bid on items. Every time a bid is placed the item value increases by 1c. You have spent $1 bidding and sure enough this can esculate, but if you have the correct strategy you can also make a lot of money for very little.
To date I have won 3x $215 Sunday Million tickets for $15 total outlay from me - thats $645 value for $15!!!! I have also won over $500 credit on Victory Poker for $40 outlay!!! I now have a bankroll on a site so that is pretty sick!

Anyway here is a strategy piece for the site. I reccomend signing up as it is great site and you get 10 bids free, which you can use to win like $100 quickly and thus you are up $100 with ease. On another note try and kick rje8686 ass, the guy is an arrogant person that I hope goes broke, he wins a lot and needs to be taught a lesson/stood up to as people are scared of him!
Oh and of course the site is http://www.bidibot.com/

Starting Off/ New Users
This section is targeting those who are new to Bidibot, and are yet to place a bid let alone win an auction. If you have won an auction this section will be of little to no use to you so feel free to skip ahead.
As a new user on first visit you will likely be overwhelmed by the site with seemingly endless opportunities to bid for a great value item. Don’t be scared I will guide you to your first winning bid.
Bidibot are kind enough to credit you with 10 free bids upon sign-up, remember this means they are essentially giving you $10 free so you need to take full advantage of it and not frivolously bid away on items you have little to no chance of winning.

With your 10 free bids you need to put them to good use. Due to this you need to take full advantage of the Unlucky bidder auctions. You will not be able to bid on them again once you have won an auction so failing to take advantage of them would be –EV and is a mistake.
As mentioned you can only bid on these if you have not won before, 99% of people on the site have won before so instead of being up against a huge pool of bidder you are in the 1% which gives you an outstanding chance of winning. You need to make sure you target the best offer possible initially. To do this search through the Main Auctions to see what is on offer, these products will normally be won for $1.03 which equates to 3 bids, thus the maximum you will be using is 2!

A little glitch in the bidibot software allows you to actually take even greater advantage of this opportunity. You can simultaneously bid on 2 or even 3 Unlucky bidder packages as the system will recognise you as never previously having won before. Due to this you should look at 2 offers that are close in time and bid away on them.

I am sure you will be successful on at least one of these, just remember if it is to win $10 credit not to use all 10 bids as you will have wasted them, the aim on bidibot is to get value for money so try to initially stick to bidding 8 times or less for every $10 the item is worth.

Free Bids

These are exactly what they say, FREE TO BID ON. Seriously take advantage of these! The most common Free Bid auction is one where you bid to win bids. Remember at some point you will need to purchase more bids and if I told you that you could get them for 90% of their value you would be silly not to take me up on this offer.
These auctions are extremely frantic in the last minute, remember every time you bid the time increases on the bid, usually by 30 seconds which can be frustrating. However with Free bids people go mental on them but NEVER EVER should you pay more than the item is worth. $50 bids usually go for $45, which is 90% of their value – you should look to try and win them for this amount or less, you have nothing to lose so it is essentially free bids, it means you get 10% more bids than what you have paid for!

Normal Auctions

First off let me just inform you that if you do not have an account with one of the sites the credit is for, do not rule it out as a possible target auction. Quite often these are the items that go for considerably less than their value so these are your best bet for getting value for money and a HUGE ROI!
So what is the strategy for winning these auctions?

Bidbots! These are something that the more savvy and regular bidders are aware of and take full advantage of. On the surface they are in place to allow you to continue bidding whilst away from your computer, but in reality this is just a great bonus, the real benefit is something completely different. Imagine you are bidding on an item, and almost immediately after you bid somebody counterbids. It gets really frustrating and in the end you just give up because you think some lunatic will not give up! Well you are correct, they won’t give up initially as they have instructed the bidbot to continue bidding for a selected number of bids.
o Can you beat a bidbot? Well yes of course. In the event the person is away from their computer the bidbot will eventually run out of using the bids specified. Whilst this is rare it does happen so don’t forget that, however don’t waste your bids attempting to get them to run out. Usually you will run out first or just get frustrated. The aim of using bidibot is to make money not lose it! I recommend clicking on the auction itself and looking at previous bids. If it says a bidbot is placing them (as opposed to a user bid) you know where you stand. Monitor this, other people will be bidding against the bidbot and when you see that the bidbot is no longer competing this is where you step it!
Watch the auction and wait for the bidbot to stop bidding;
 Immediately install your own bidbot – this will frustrate the other bidders;
 Watch as you finally win
o How many bids should I put in the bidbot? This is always a tough question. Essentially I recommend in any auction to never bid more than 30% of the value. That equates to bidding 30 times for $100. The reason for this is that you can’t win every time you bid, you need to accept that. However by making sure you only ever bid 30% that means in the long term you only need to win 1/3 auctions to make a profit! You will find that you will probably win more than this. I also recommend that you install the bidbot before anyone else has bid and set it to start bidding immediately. The reason for this is you don’t want to get into a bidbot v bidbot war as the more experienced bidder will have probably put more bids in as they may not utilise the 1/3 philosophy/rule for whatever reason.

Know when to quit! There is nothing more important than this! You have to go into an auction with a set number of bids you are willing to go with, and do not get emotional and try and out do someone. There are a few sick bidders on this site that have this must win philosophy and they are the ones that are going to show a loss in the long run. You do not want to be one of these. As mentioned usually go for 30% of the value in your bids, if you really want to then feel free to extend this to 50% but remember you now have to win ½ to break even! I recognise that more people will join this site and this will happen, but please don’t bid more than 50% it is just a silly mistake.

Notoriety/Recognition on the site! This is hugely important. After a while you will have seen the same people winning auctions, especially the bigger ones! You will come to recognise that they are quite smart, or that they just refuse to quit. Either way you do not want to bid against them. I won’t name names here as it is better for you to recognise it yourself, however do look out for them. You want to be in this elite group, but for the correct reasons, and the way to do this is to make sure you win the auctions you bid on regularly, but essentially that you win one of the Weekend deals! The winner of the weekend deal is then displayed on the site for that week with a message of congratulations. When I see who won that I know to steer clear, or at least approach with caution. They can be beat as can everyone else, but do not try and out do them. Stick to your pre-decided number of bids!

Winning Auctions. You can only win 3 auctions a day so make sure you pick the best ones. You can bid on more than 3 until you have won 3, and I recommend this especially if you are only expecting to win 1/3. In the amazingly rare but fantastically rewarding scenario where you actually win 4 auctions due to no competition on 2 of the 4 you bid on you have exploited a loop hole but this is very rare! Target auctions that you see rarely get much competition – the $11 stars tickets, the Betfair Poker credit, the Victory and G credit. Remember you can set up an account with a site that you don’t already have an account with easily through bidibot so don’t ignore these sites, they are usually the best.

Buying Bids. As mentioned you should try and win your bids on the free auctions for 90% but failing that you need to buy bids. Remember to stick to your bankroll and what you can afford! I recommend going for the $50 package upwards as it rewards you with 10% extra bids which almost equates to winning a free bid auction for bids. You will usually need more than 10 bids to win an auction and nothing can be more frustrating than having bid 10 times, when you are prepared to bid 30, only to find out you are out of bids and can’t buy the bids quick enough to continue. Make sure you always have more than enough bids in your account before entering a bid.

Main Points
• New bidders must take advantage of the unlucky bidder auctions;
• Free bid auctions are a must!
• Stick to bidding a set amount of times you pre-determine and do not go over it;
• Look to only bid 30%-50% of what the item is worth (e.g. $30-$50 for a $100 auction) to have a good profit margin;
• Use a bidbot to discourage rival bidders;
• Try and gain notoriety;
• Make sure you have more than enough bids before placing your first bid!

The best time to make friends is before you need them.

What can I say? Well I'm in san francisco at the moment, its a magical city but very hilly. One of my bestest friends in the world, hana is in la visiting friends, two of them she always talks about. From what she said they seemed like cool people.

Anyway they drove up to sf for a long weekend and I met them friday night. Straight away paul was welcoming and bought me a beer. Aeriel seemed cool but it was early days.

That night we hit up a club and it was pretty good, vibes were nice and it was fun.

Saturday we spent being tourists for a bit, then went to a bar. After that we went to the cheesecake factory which was amazing food. We were in a food comatised state so hit the sack early.

Sunday I met them for breakfast and then said our bye's. I hate saying bye. What can I say they were the most amazing, kind, welcoming, generous people I have ever met. In fact I don't think any amount of words/adjectives I can type would do them justice. The weekend was fun filled throughout. It is no exaggeration to say it was one of the best weekends of my life.

So many great memories, guessing which elevator would open, a one dollar engagement ring hand made, the boat bus, the games of pool, the heel clicking as we walked down the road to keep us warm, the tramps (why would u been homeless in sf when you could be in la) in fact every moment was a memory that I will treasure for a long time.

This won't get up loaded until monday but all I know is if the rest of my time in america is one tenth as good as this weekend I am in for the trip of my life. I will be flying to la at least once to see them, hopefully more.

As you know I love ending things with a quote so here it goes:

' There are moments in our life that come and go, people will too, but what we do and the people we meet can never be taken from us. Our memories will last forever no matter how deep down they are, they will remain. So drink, laugh and spend your time having fun, don't be sad at what is going, but be happy that it happened and treasure the memories'.

Ok its not a quote, I made it up but now I've said it maybe it is a quote. All that matters is its true and we all should remember that.

'The mystic chords of memory will swell when again touched, as surely they will be, by the better angels of our nature.'

In a state of flux

It's hard to say what I'm feeling at the moment. I'm so excited to go to America and can't wait but I've just got use to London again. Oh well Nottingham on saturday with mates should be good!

So I'm flying out on the 14th after a crazy long visa application process. I'm finding out I know a few people out in San Francisco and other people are giving me tips. I'm going to be living in a place called North Beach which sounds so O.C it's unbelievable!

The weekend just gone my old housemates Will and Andy came down to sort out these bs charges the letting agents are trying to throw on us. It was good to see them and we had a few bevvies and then went to the park for a bit.

My mind is kind of racing at the moment so I'm not going to bother to keep typing. Write more when I'm more focused.

Peace

Moving On

It's crazy to think that having only been back in the UK for a couple of weeks, in a not so short time I will be heading off the America for a number of months.

9 months ago if you had told me this is the life I would be living I would of thought you'd been smoking something you shouldn't and think that you need to lie down, but here I am, getting ready for the next step in my life.

Recently I have realised how much I love everything I have and am so thankful for everything I have been given. Obviously there are times when I'm down but I'm trying to look at everything in a more positive light - obstacles are just challenges they don't need to stop you from moving on.

The weekend just gone was one of the best ones I have had in a long time. On Friday I went to my cousins wedding and it was kind of magical, it seemed like such a great day from them and everyone else was feeding off their vibes.
The rest of the weekend I spent at Lovebox - a music festival in Victoria Park. I got to spend time with people that have vanished from my life and now they are back in it. The music was great, the sun was shining, the alcohol was plentiful and it was just incredible. To those I spent that weekend with - thanks for everything it was amazing and I'm so glad I spent it with all of you.

There's been a lot of great things I've been reading which has been good, and one blog in particular needs a mention. http://assassinatopoker.blogspot.com/ is one of the best blogs around. The guy is a full time poker player but with a difference, he won't bore you with stuff you don't care about, he just uses his blog to explain what's going on and get his thoughts down, it really is some motivational stuff and I will continue reading as long as he keeps writing!

Also I think everyone should watch http://www.wimp.com/watchingthis/ it will cheer you up and make you realise to look more positivley on everything!

There is so much I could write today but instead I'm going to try and write more and talk about excitements about this adventure ahead of me - including packing up my life and taking it to my parents.

Love and Truth.
